Intex Mobile - What Makes It Unique?

By Vasim
Intex has been a player in Indian IT industry for a while now and they have produced consumer products across a wide range. They sell computer peripherals in our market and now their mobile phones are catching up well. They started off with low end devices and now they are making their way up with powerful devices. We recently saw them launch the Aqua i5 HD which is quite an impressive device with an equally impressive price tag. Here we list some of the best devices we have seen from this manufacturer and the Intex mobile price tag they come with.

Intex Aqua I5 HD

Intex Aqua

This is one of their latest entries in the market and you might have come across its advertisement. This device has a face measuring 145 x 72 mm and is quite slim at just 8.5 mm. it has got a simple rectangular design with most of the front face dominated by glass. The back is made of plastic which wraps around the device and comes all the way to its front. So you get a front face with a thin plastic strip around it. They haven’t gone for the on screen keys so it gets capacitive keys below the display. It is a bit on the heavy side tipping the scale at 150 Gms. The 5 inch display has a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It comes with one glass solution making it less reflective and slimmer. The colours are well saturated though a bit on the warmer side. The contrast ratios are good and so are the viewing angles. It runs on a quad core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz and gets 1 GB of RAM. The internal storage is low at just 4 GB but you can use micro SD cards up to 32 GB and that should suffice for most people.

Powering this device is a 2000 mAh battery which offers decent battery life. It depletes like crazies when you handle it heavy jobs but otherwise with mild usage, it can easily take you through a day. It has got a 13 megapixel primary camera which yields some impressive shots in day light. The quad core processor makes image processing fast. The secondary camera has a 5 megapixel resolution. This is a dual SIM device and offers all the other connectivity options as well. It comes with a price tag of INR 9500.

Intex Aqua Octa

If the Intex Aqua i5 HD wasn’t powerful enough for you, this might be the device for you. It runs on an octa core processor against the quad core on i5 HD. The processor runs at a maximum clock speed of 1.7 GHz and the device comes with 2 GB of RAM. It has got 16 GB of internal storage and if that is not enough for you, you get a micro SD slot as well.

The device is surely a looker but it is quite big and the front face measures 161 x 81 mm. it is also quite heavy weighing 180 Gms. Although they have made up for the large dimensions and heavy weight by making it pretty slim at just 7 mm. the large dimensions are because of the large display size. It has got a huge 6 inch display which almost approaches the tablet territory. Sadly the resolution is same 720 x 1280 thereby reducing the pixel density. Still it isn’t very bad and the display is fine otherwise.
It is powered by a 2300 mAh battery. The primary camera has the same resolution as I5 HD. The 13 megapixel camera gives you some nice shots if the subject is well lit. The autofocus feature works fine and the photos are processed quickly. It comes with a price tag of INR 15999.

Intex Aqua HD

If the devices listed previously are too big and bulky for you, you might want to take a look at this device. It is smaller measuring 137.5 x 67.4 x 7.9 mm. It isn’t fat either as you can already see or it weighs a very moderate 133 Gms. The device has a rectangular profile but the top and bottom edge are slightly curved and the overall package looks quite good.

The display resolution is same at 720 x 1280 but the size has dropped to a more handling friendly 4.7 inches. This gives it a pixel density above 300 ppi and the size is comfortable for one handed operation. It runs a quad core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz and has got 1 GB of RAM. It has got 4 GB of storage with option to add more using a micro SD card. The camera resolution is the same as previous 2 devices. The 13 megapixel camera is very much similar in performance and quality to the i5 HD. it comes with a price tag of INR 12500.

Intex Aqua I7

Aqua I7
This is the mammoth in their line-up with a full HD display, quad core processor and loads of storage. The Aqua I7 is a nice looking device with a 5 inch full HD display. The design is similar to Aqua HD but the dimensions are smaller than the I5 HD. It is slim at just 7.8 mm and weighs 143 Gms. The full HD display is crisp and vibrant. The colours are impressive and you would really love watching videos on this display.

It runs a mediatek chipset with 1.5 GHz quad core processor. It comes with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB on internal storage. It also gets the same camera combinations as we have seen on the other three devices. The primary camera has a resolution of 13 megapixels and the secondary camera has a 5 megapixel resolution. It comes with a 2000 mAh battery but considering the spec of the device and its high res display, it might not suffice. It comes with a price tag of INR 13990.
